Listening to...My friends, it has been said that I like war. My friends...I've no intention of quoting this whole speech.

Guess who's back!

Alright enough silliness it is time for celebrations! Why? Well, there's a reason I chose today to come back. Today, 13606 pageviews ago, marks 2 full years of deviantness.
So, an explanation for my absence.
One word Two words, college application. I dropped AP Chem and replaced it with Digital Photography, so it is the only thing weighing me down now. However, they will end soon as well, thus fully freeing me to get back into full deviousness. And game development too

Speaking of Digital Photography, it is a fairly enjoyable class. I've finally learned how layers work, even if its on an absolutely ancient version of Photoshop. Thankfully I have Gimp at home, which I actually find to be a much easier interface than that of Photoshop, though maybe that's since I've had it longer.
Although it said that I haven't been on in three weeks, the truth is I really started to die off in early September, as I've still got a few deviations in my watch from then. Hopefully I can get back to them and more current deviations very soon.
Let's discuss that little excerpt I mentioned above. You may or may not be aware that I'm currently in the process of making a game. It won't be a visually stunning game, it may not even be a fun game, but unlike the last one you'll actually be using a character (the last one, for those who didn't play it, was a point-and-click adventure). This new game will be a top-down shooter and is shaping up very nicely thus far. With only three levels left to program, I may even have it out before the end of November.
And now I must point out that I require some sort of art work for the final boss. I've been nagging an art friend of mine to make one for weeks, but he's assured me that he'll actually do it over this weekend. I'm not holding my breath for it. So, if anyone is interested in drawing a final boss, or digitally coloring one if he botches that job, please let me know and I'll discuss it with you privately.
340 messages, 302 deviations, and 7 notes. The notes were unexpected, and they were all from the dA monitor bot. Why? Three demotivations removed and a mature tag placed on one dissection image. That is unfortunate, though it makes me wonder why only those three were deleted. Quite curious, any ideas guys?
I was tagged back in early September, so not to be rude let's do this!

Bionicle: The Legend Reborn reviewInitially, when I noticed :devmmaplemaster: had made a review I figured this would be unnecessary. However, he didn't exactly use as much depth as I'd have liked so now I'll make a review

One thing I think we can all agree on is that it was far better than two and three. Those were awful. I'd say it was on the same level as the first movie, though neither were exactly spectacular films they did their job for us. Or at least, they tried, Mask of Light did a bit better.
This time around, instead of using all the characters like the actual story says, we were limited to a few. While this ruins some of the movie to a straight story fan, it did manage to improve the quality as there were less characters to focus on. However, some discrepancies did occur, which will now be shown in LIST FORMAT!
-Everyone in general: If I'm not mistaken, everyone on Bara Magna is organic, with a few mechanical implants here and there. This should not be applying to everyone's armor and certain body parts, which have spinning parts in them to mimic machinery. Everyone seem to have these in the same spots, leading us to believe more machine than organic, when its the other way around.
Characters:
--Gelu. I liked Gelu, I was looking forward to seeing him somewhere in the movie. Whoops, never mind, it seems like he's been snuffed entirely. What a shame.
--Vastus and Tarix speak..oh maybe twice each. They should have just been cut instead since they didn't even do any significant fighting.
--Skrall & Stronius make an appearance as one would expect. They are the villains after all. Actually, I have no problem at all with the Skrall, other than the fact that they speak some guttural language. My problem is with Stronius. As a named Skrall, one would assume he has custom armor, weapons, and commands quite a bit of respect. However, TLR seems to have about 100+ Stronius running around Roxtus beating things up. Stronius is Stronius to set himself apart, not join another crowd of like-dressed individuals.
--Malum didn't exactly appear in a normal sense. Instead Click, who I will get to in a moment, summoned a whole bunch of Scarabax beetles who took the form of a giant Malum to scare the Skrall. Now, I don't know when Click or any other beetle have ever seen Malum, but even with Ignika enhancement this is ridiculous. They should've just brought Malum and a platoon of Vorox to fight the Skrall.
--Kiina: Worst. Voice actor. Ever. Everytime she spoke I wanted to stab myself in the ears with an acid tipped lead knife.
--Ackar: I know I've heard his voice actor before, but I can't find where. He's so familiar, but back to the actual character; he was pretty awesome. One of the few good ones.
--Strakk: Not sure what was up with his voice, but I like how they made him rather sinister, if only he showed up more.
--Click: Absurdity at its finest. I'm not even talking about the shield transformation. No, I speak of his appearance. A fully organic beetle with mechanical legs? Did the Agori feel that the bugs needed implants too? Whey would this even happen?
--Mara Nui: A bit more guarded about his past than I'd expected. Alright over all, nice voice actor, a bit naive in the end though.
--Tuma: Ridiculous actor and ridiculous battle. Let's cover that here. Mata Nui exploits some sort of mechanical weakness on Tuma's spine and basically breaks him in two. Tuma does not act like the calculating villain he'd been portrayed as. Extreme disappointment.
--Skopio: Skopio is a machine constructed by a disgruntled Agori. Not an animal that you can occasionally run into in the desert Ackar. I really don't know what sort of nonsense was going through the storyboard designers mind when that scene was made.
-Surprises
I must say, going into the movie I was certain Berix was the traitor. However, the constant suggesting of "ooh, Berix looks suspicious, maybe he's the traitor" promptly told me that he was not. And so he wasn't. Metus. What a surprise, though it really couldn't have been anyone else if it wasn't Berix. Raanu's in charge of a village, and while that doesn't really exclude him it lowers the chances, Tarduk only wants to run around in some ruins, Zesk are animals, and Atakus is a Skrall Agori. Kind of makes it obvious now it seems.
-Environment Design
Outside of the villages things looked pretty nice. However, as usual, the villages look basically empty and don't even seem to have any homes. Just arenas. Roxtus was particularly bad as all it seemed to be composed of were spikes around a circle. And its supposed to be a city, not even a village. Disappointing. It also seems as though all the villages were actually a part of a prototype Mata Nui. While this is interesting, it isn't elaborated on as the movie promptly ends after its assembly.

Overall, I'd have to give this movie 3/5. It isn't the best, but it does a fairly good job with what it presents.
Let's see, what else did I want to inform you of? Oh yes that's right. For those of you following my Triad series, I'd recommend you give
this a read as I'll be basing all future Umbrella related information on this. It's quite a fascinating read regardless, so even if you don't read Triad, I'd check it out.
I believe that's all now. I wish you all an early Happy Thanksgiving for the US deviants. Now then, I must go plow my way through hundreds of messages and deviations. I don't think I'll be having any more absences like this again. A shame I don't see any more journals coming up soon though, I would've liked to continue using this skin. Its perty

That's MAMA LUIGI to you!
Yes, I am the girl who thinks Goodbye Mr. A by the Hoosiers is about killer robots, and writes "I <3 Dib" on her hand alot, and has found three Rayman TV series referances in Vanessa Carlton's White Houses. And I don't care.
